I’m a bridesmaid in my cousin’s wedding at the end of the summer. She’s looking for recommendations for a wedding officiant. Originally they were hoping a friend could get ordained online, but no one seems too interested, too much pressure probably!

They are hoping for someone who is religiously neutral since their families are two fairly different backgrounds (agnostic and LDS). The wedding will be in the Maple Valley area at Lake Wilderness Lodge, the kicker is that it’s on Labor Day weekend so it’s time to get someone booked ASAP. Any recommendations?

I booked a KC judge. Haven’t met her yet, but we later found a family connection when we learned she had decreed the adoption of my soon-to-be nephew so we’re already happy with the selection.

Since I’m not religious my other option was a unitarian universalist minister.

This site should help you locate a minister in the vicinity of the wedding.

there is a sometimes poster one here named Cait, who officiates at weddings. I will let her know that someone is looking. She officiated at my daughters wedding.

Hi there! Tricky – I have never really done a ceremony with any religious elements in it do I don’t know if that would work for the LDS person. I usually only do weddings in West Seattle, but I might be able to recommend a couple of other people I know who are ordained. However, they too don’t have religious backgrounds at all. Feel free to email me if you’d like more info, I’m at playgroundlegend45 at hotmail.
