GwolaninParticipantThe triangle building property at corner of Wildwood and Bracepoint (across the street from Endolynes Joes) has been neglected and is a neighborhood eyesore! Has anyone noticed this? Weeds are over a foot tall and spreading seeds everywhere, trees not trimmed, grass not mowed, etc. Looks like no maintenance/upkeep for months. I know most tenants (dentist, massage…) are closed due to social distancing. Any suggestions of how to complain to owners, city?

mehud7ParticipantI haven’t noticed. What I have noticed though, is that people are struggling right now. Maybe you could help them out by bringing your lawn care tools up there and doing some work.

Michael WaldoParticipantRather rude and condescending comment. Do you know Gwolanin? What if they are a high risk senior staying home? Or disabled or don’t have the tools?

banksParticipantAs Michael Waldo states!

jissyParticipantWhy don’t you send a note to the property owner? Easy to find on http://www.kingcounty.gov — I did, but not going to do the work for you …. it looks like they are out of the area, maybe they don’t know the upkeep isn’t being done? It’s possible, too that during this time that unfortunately some of the upkeep and maintenance was the first to fall off the budget if tenants stopped paying which the Mayor gave them permission to do so.

GwolaninParticipantThank you all. Didn’t mean to sound condescending and I’m sorry it came off that way. Jissy, you are right, the owners are out of state. Let me explain a bit. The lack of ground maintenance has been an on-going problem for several years – frustrating for the dental business (one of the business tenants) and those of us in the neighborhood. ONE BRIGHT SPOT…the volunteers with the Fauntleroy Community Association (of which we are members) does a beautiful job of maintaining the large planters around the triangle and 4-way intersection! Also, thankful that the delay in the owners planned UpZone construction has been stalled. Trying to stay positive!
