Thanks KEXP and West Seattle!!!

Just wanted to give a big rave to KEXP and say what an awesome time I had this past Friday! It was so great to see so many people out and about (and on a weekday)! The kids were out in force at Cupcake Royale for the live bands and the adults were gettting their fix across the street at Easy Street.

I made it to the Tripwires at ES, Memphis Radio Kings at Feedback, and Hotels and F’ing Eagles at Skylark. Tried to race back for Brent Amaker at Shadowland, but they had just finished. Every venue was packed! Great to see all these businesses benefiting so much. West Seattle can sometimes feel a tad sleepy on weekends, but people were out in force. Never seen Skylark so raucous and fun!

And did anyone else see David Spade and his Playboy Bunny at the Feedback? WTF?!

We heard Florence + the Machine on KEXP in the morning and then bought the CD from Easy Street in the afternoon. Actually, we couldn’t keep ourselves from buying three CDs while we were there. Business was booming and it felt great to support local business and celebrate KEXP and all the great music they have introduced us to! My family would also like to thank all the KEXP sponsors, the businesses that took part as well as KEXP for a great event!
