happywalkerParticipantRecently received a 3 month statement in the mail for the Fri Sat Sun times the we subscribe to. We always pay in the envelope provided in the paper from the carrier. Never been a problem. I called the phone # provided on the statement. Turns out it was in the Philippines…the fellow was trying his best to talk me into prepaying. I told him I didn’t want pre-pay. Very persistant. Anyone get a 3 month pre-pay statement?

skeeterParticipantSomething sounds strange. I always pay the Seattle Times directly. I don’t ever give the payment to the carrier.
Was the “statement” printed by the Seattle Times? Or printed by the carrier? Again – something sounds off to me.

happywalkerParticipantwas printed by the Seattle Times. The carrier puts envelope on paper with rubber band. In the flap it has printed with the months and amount that I owe. I just pop a check in envelope and mail directly to him. Have always (20 years) done it this way.
