Are there any places here in West Seattle where one can donate prescription eyeglasses for recycling? Back east we seemed to see a lot of drop boxes in public places, but I don’t notice them here. Anybody have any suggestions?

Hi Sue, I think was a drop box/donation place (maybe with the local Kiwanas?) at the WS Farmer’s Market when I was there last summer. I haven’t made it to the market for a while, so not sure if it is still there. If you find one before I do, do report back, I have a pair or two that I need to donate!

WS Lions Club takes them and recycles them for use around the world. You can drop some off at the WS YMCA c/o Samantha Bowes. She’s a member of the club and will take them down.

I think I saw something at WS Optix last time I was in there. If you are in the junction you could just pop in there and ask.
