Recently, my car was told from Bonair the street off of Alki. Apparently there was a sign saying to zone from a private towing company and was enforced by a landlord that had a building next to it. My understanding is landlords cannot enforce any parking on a city owned street.

Are you certain a “landlord” had your car towed (which is what I’m assuming you mean by “tool” and “told,” too much voice-to-text these days)? For example if you were blocking a driveway or hydrant, or violating any other posted parking rule (time limits, for example), anyone could call that in to parking enforcement – landlord, property owner, resident, passerby – and have that enforced. But if you’re certain you were legally parked in an unrestricted street space, you’d definitely want to see something in writing about why your vehicle was towed – TR

Did you violate a parking regulation? That’s the question. If you did, then you were towed based on the violation, regardless of who initiated the tow.
