hollyplaceParticipantI wanted to report a break-in of my friend’s house yesterday. She arrived home with her children around 3:00 to find that her back door had been kicked in. They took a desktop computer, electronics, jewelry and a pillowcase to carry stuff in. She left a message on the WSB phone line yesterday(nothing left to go online with) but I thought I would help her post it while the trail is still hot, or at least warm. If anyone noticed anyone or anything strange in the
98xx block of 42nd Ave Sw Please post to the comments.
Thanks.

HelperMonkeyParticipantjeebus. that’s a bit too close to home for me. I am usually home for lunch most days but didn’t make it home yesterday. Sorry about your friend’s/my neighbor’s experience. I’ll keep a lookout around the hood for anything the thief might have ditched. :(

WSBKeymasterWe didn’t get that phone message, sorry they got voice mail, we answer 24/7 but once in a while someone calls while we’re already on another call. 206-293-6302. We then always ask callers to e-mail us (so we have the info in writing) but of course that wouldn’t work in this case! (Was an Airstrean trailer involved, by any chance? We did get a confusing voice-mail message about a stolen Airstream trailer.)
.
(added) Checking the mailbox again – we do have a note about this.
Anyway, I have a Crime Watch roundup in the works so we’ll include this. Sorry to hear it happened.

anonymeParticipantNot to hijack, but there’s been an Airstream trailer illegally parked on the right of way at 42nd & 102nd for several months. Could be it was finally towed away.
Lots of strange characters cruising Arbor Heights lately. It’s good to have neighbors watching your back. Hollyplace, thanks for the heads-up.

TrickParticipantI’ll keep my eyes open too.
I know we’ve had a few stolen cars dumped on 97th, off of 35th, but have remained relatively unscathed (knock on moss).

mpentoParticipantI had someone call to my door around that time (I’m closer to the 42nd and 102 area. I did not answer the door but later I found a real estate agent post card in my bushes for a house in 97 and 45th area. It looks like the real estate guy was advertising door to door? If nothing else maybe they saw something? However its possible the caller and the post card are unrelated.
