beaglenutMemberThis will sound a little random to many I’m sure…
I was out on the patio last night around 9 (41st Ave, facing south) and noticed the sky light up bright blue two or three times for just a few seconds. Any thoughts??

CMPParticipantMy power flickered and went out around that time, but came back on right away. I’m at 37th and Willow so maybe that had something to do with it? Aliens sounds good too :)

WSBKeymasterPower flicker likely. We had several reports. Wind might have sent something sparking into a transformer. Luckily no full-fledged outages reported.

miwsParticipantHad the power flicker in the Thriftway block of California too.
It was so fast, it took me a few seconds to realize what happened. The actual flicker of the lights barely registered in my mind, and the TV came right back on. The computer didn’t though.
My first thought, was that the ‘puter was going into screensaver mode, and the blank screen was the usual first step in that, before the screensaver images come up.
Only thing though, is I was on the ‘puter at the time, and using the mouse, so it hadn’t been idle for ten minutes.

nuniMember34th and Morgan area the power went off for a few seconds, flipped back on and then flickered once more a few seconds after. We thought it was weird because we barely ever lose power.

datamuseParticipantPower flicker also in Highland Park around that time. There was a loud noise and the lights in my house dimmed noticeably for several seconds.
A helicopter buzzed by low enough to scare the hell out of my cat about 10-15 minutes later. May or may not have been related.
