charlabobParticipantAre there ever “hypoallergenic” cats/or kittens for adoption? I’m not sure there really is such a thing, but I have friends who are ready to adopt and if I could point them to cats who wouldn’t practically kill their dad from allergies I’m sure they’d bite. (Apparently you do cat dander allergy tests on the specific cat/kitten?) As someone who’se allergic and doesn’t care, (but doesn’t get death-level breathing attacks) I haven’t ever tried.
Thanks!

sacatoshParticipantCharlabob – Siamese or Siamese blends are ofen fairly hypoallergenic, as are Bengal and Bengal mixes.
The un(?)fortunate thing about both breeds are that they are WAAAY smarter than us, and therefore can get into or out of anything they decide to.

hammerheadParticipantas far as i know there is no such thing. short haired cats aren’t as “allergic” but in another blog there were some good suggestions. i also can do 2 weeks trials. I have had people rub the kitten they were interested in on there face ect to see how there would react that was cute. it work and kitten got a great home.:)

charlabobParticipantThanks! The folks looking for a cat are fiercely loyal to adoption, but Michael is also fiercely loyal to breathing. I’ll put them in touch with HH for a possible trial. So far they have a dog, two gerbils, a guinea pig, a fish and a bird. And all are very well cared for and loved. (We kid, house, and pet sat over the weekend so I’ve seen this love in action.)
