Hi spring…. I haven’t used these folks personally but ran into one of their employees 2 weeks ago and we were actually talking about this subject, sounds like they are dealing with a few of these on behalf of their landlords. Gal I talked to was Michelle, might be a place to start that could refer you? https://www.landlordmanagement.com/

Thank you for your encouraging words. We realize what we’re looking for might be a stretch.
We’ve rented from a private owner and have appreciated the intimacy of that. I think there is something to be said about owners looking for quality tenants who will care for their home- over making a quick buck w/higher fees.
Thank you for sharing where you list. Zillow definitely feels the most structured/least scammy of the sites.

From Lisa Herbold: The most recent update for the West Seattle Bridge is that concrete pours are expected next week and the following week. Work is also taking place to replace the overhead traffic signs and the support structures on the West Seattle Bridge.

SDOT will share the reopening date approximately a month before reopening to traffic. Following construction completion, SDOT will test the bridge for strength and resiliency – this test is expected to last about two weeks.

    Translation—-no time soon.

Found on sidewalk Friday afternoon. Quite possibly dropped by one of many students walking home from school around the time it was discovered. Describe keychain it is on, and provide email address to retrieve it.

    Hello there!

Do you have experience creating resumes? I’m looking for someone interested in taking the job of creating mine. My goal is to apply to specific jobs that I’ve targeted already; however, I need a good CV, and I’m not really good at it. I know there are several companies online offering the service, but I’d much rather not sending all my personal info through the web. If this is something you are interested in, please get back to me with availability to provide you with further information. I live in WS, so perhaps meeting at a coffee shop or zoom, skype…? Any option would be okay with me.

    Looking forward, thank you!

There are homes for rent in that price range from smaller landlords. They’re few and far between but we are out here. You sound like wonderful tenants and I have a home that checks all your boxes but it’s not available until Aug 1. When I advertise, I use Zillow. So I’d recommend looking there too. Also try looking in the Westwood and Gatewood neighborhoods. Lots of families and large lots with smaller homes. I’ve seen rentals around that price range.

Good advice, Sue but I’ll add, ran into an old friend of mine last week who is in Property management and she noted they never put signs on buildings anymore b/c of problems with squatters taking over a property so you might want to contact some of the management companies directly to see if they have anything available.

    Hello.
We are a family of three with a young kiddo. We have lived in the same home, Admiral area of West Seattle, for seven years. We absolutely love it here.
The owners of the home we are renting have decided to sell, so that puts us in the position of looking for a new place to call home.
We are financially stable, we have good credit, and stellar references.
We don’t have any pets- though our kiddo would love to get a feline at some point if time/space allows for one.
We garden, we bike and hike, and love being outdoors. We’re pretty strong advocates of getting to know our neighbors and enjoy participating in community building. Being a 9-5 family with a young kiddo, we’re fairly quiet- early to bed. We don’t host large gatherings.
We like to think we take care of our rental space as we’d take care of our own home. We are effective communicators and pay rent on time.

We are in search of a stand alone home with a yard and some space for storage in West Seattle. Staying admiral area would be amazing, but we’re open to surrounding neighborhoods too. We are looking for something for June 1.
We would like 2+ bedrooms, and W/D/dishwasher would be preferred. We’d love around 1000sq feet- but say that loosely: a bit more or a bit less would likely work for us too.
Our budget is $1600-$2400- with $2000(ish) being our ideal. Again, there’s room to chat.
If we sound like a good fit for renting and taking care of your home, please reach out. We’d love to connect.
    Thanks for reading.
