FWIW we published the West Seattle version of that two days before CHS (whose publisher, our dear friend Justin, is on semi-hiatus):

Metro bus stop in West Seattle to be shared by Microsoft shuttle starting Monday

As linked in our story, the Microsoft shuttles have been running to/from West Seattle since 2008. This is just the first time any of them have used a public transit stop. The original stops were in the Masonic Center lot at 40th/Edmunds but according to the Connector maps I looked up, that apparently is not being used any more. – TR

Do you have a few hours to share on the evening of July 8th? If so, please pour beer with Furry Faces Foundation at the Seattle International Beer Fest! For every volunteer, $50 is donated to Furry Faces. Plus it is a blast AND after our shift, the Event coordinators will give all of us free entrance bracelets and 15 beer tickets for the next day. If you can commit, please email us at furryfaces@hotmail, confirming that you are 21+ and ready to have a good time.

We need to get our ‘Pourer’ list in, so hope to hear from you soon.

Never used(well, maybe once, for about 25 feet). Retails for $115-$120. I got last summer after a fall. I now have a rollator type walker. Located in Admiral District near Safeway. If interested, leave comment here or email me @ mmfeelgood at gmail dot com. Cash preferred (have CC capabilities, too, because of home business, can use, but really do prefer cash). Has wheels on the front.

    Everything is on Yelp https://www.yelp.com/biz/arthurs-breakfast-to-bar-seattle-2

I have been and space, service & food are much higher quality than Angelina’s. I never had 1 good food experience at Angelina’s though. It still is working out the kinks as it’s brand new, but I think it will do well once they fix a few dishes and kitchen timing.

I am selling my 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Needs mechanical work to be road worthy. Currently runs and but has a couple of issues. I would recommend towing upon purchase. The jeep has been carefully maintained by Maestro Motors here in WSEA for more than 2 years

    220,000 miles
    4 cyl
    2 wheel drive (rear wheel)
    full tank of gas
tires have about 5,000 miles on them

    Issues:
needs transmission work (maybe a rebuild or flush)
needs new pistons – the piston skirts have broken off (a typical jeep engine problem). still hold compression but has loud knocking from piston slap.

This would be a great parts car, you could swap out the engine and transmission for something else, turn into an off-road wheeler, etc.

Looking to get $800 cash, or will accept trades and will entertain all offers. For trades I will take lawn and garden equipment, trees, modern style living room set, furniture, etc. Let me know what you have.

Need to sell – will entertain all offers

When I called to make my appointment, the customer service rep suggested I try the “Take it back network.” I just dropped off my TV for free at Friendly Earth, and some places do pick-ups.

There is a damage claim process. I did it years ago and my claim was rejected because the pothole had not been reported prior to my incident. I hope you have better luck.

I noticed they were on UberEats. I know they were remodeling the Zatz space but it doesn’t seem like anyone has been working on it lately and seems dark all the time.

Also the Yelp reviews appear “manufactured”

Sorry for your loss. We do publish obituaries on the news page – no charge – so you are welcome to e-mail us the text and photo if you are interested. There is no requirement that the person who died had to be a West Seattle resident at the time of their passing, just that they had some notable ties here along the way, which sounds to be the case. The submission info is at the bottom of every obituary we publish – https://westseattleblog.com/category/obituaries

For the record, we published a news story about the Burien announcement two days ago:

BIZNOTE: PCC Natural Markets to open Burien store

And as Jissy said, the closing date for West Seattle (I reconfirmed this just a week or so ago) is May 31st. Also note that they continue to offer deliveries via Instacart. But we’ll be checking out the Burien store too and will certainly publish the occasional update on progress! – Tracy

sbre, I just wanted to say how much I admire the approach you’re taking to this. Information and compassion are a powerful combination! In case GK is still reading, I can’t resist pointing them (and anyone else who cares to know) towards this:

    https://www.tourette.org/blogs/about-tourette/debunking-myths-misconceptions/

    particularly this one:

    Myth #1:
Everyone with Tourette Syndrome (TS) blurts out obscenities.
    FACT:
While frequently portrayed in the media as a common symptom of TS, in reality the excessive and uncontrollable use of foul or obscene language, known as coprolalia, only affects 10% of individuals with TS. For those who do have coprolalia, the outbursts they experience are completely involuntary and they often try to mask the obscenities. This myth is important to rectify as it often leads to prejudices against people with TS.
