Just helped my mom move. She gave me some extra Softsoap refills, the 80oz size that you get at Costco. Well 2 hours later I find one sideways, no cap spilled and almost entirely soaked into my front passenger seat!! (It was folded flat, I was hauling a ton of garden tools and a cooler. I just wiped up what I could. It’s after 10pm, I don’t have a shop vac or Bissell, I have to go to work early in the morning and can’t deal with it until tomorrow afternoon after it bakes in the sun parked at work. Would a detailer have a better steam cleaner to get the soap out? It’s covering the entire seat and back of the front passenger seat! I was planning on trading in next winter so I want to make sure this doesn’t turn into a sticky gross mess! Thankfully it’s black cloth interior. Argh. It’s been a whirlwind weekend moving my mom to Oregon only to get home this late and find this. Any detailer recommendations in West Seattle or South Park?
Topic: Stolen Lavender= Really?
we have a row of lavender plants along a retaining wall in our yard (corner lot, but plants are along neighbor’s property line and can’t be reached from that side). Someone came all the way across our back yard from the sidewalk into our vegetable garden and snipped off all the lavender blooms.
I hit the internet expecting to find that this is somewhat common and there is a lavender market akin to coper scrap….nada. I don’t see much of any reports world wide of lavender bloom theft. WTF?
On 39th near Holy Rosary.
PS I don’t come here for “the world is going to hell”, or “people got no morals” etc affirmations….I’m looking to see if anyone has seen this before or has any information on the practice.

Topic: Alki Dog Walkers
RANT to the middle-aged couple with well-behaved white standard poodle walking along Alki Trail 9pm Friday who were so busy spouting kind (not) and helpful (not) comments to me regarding my 2 rescue puppies who were behaving horribly, that they didn’t hear my apologies or requests for help or my explanation that I’m a new owner learning as fast as I can.
I can only hope that perhaps they were visiting from SoCal and have already returned home?
Topic: Red Bus / Green Bus
Just curious as to why the red buses might be honking like crazy at the green buses when they’re letting passengers off. I see this daily. Are the green buses not supposed to be using the same stops? That’s the only thing I can think of. Regardless, it seems rude; if not to the bus driver, then to the people living nearby.

Topic: Israel
My personal opinion on the situation in Israel is pretty mixed. Considering the long history in that region, dating back to b.c., my gut says neither the Palestinians or the Israelis deserve that stretch of land. Just my opinion on that specific topic though.
But my real question is, Americans? Why do Americans, especially on social media feel the need to take a side? My Facebook news feed is lit up with both sides propaganda. What does a person born and raised in Seattle, or anywhere else here in the U.S. have to do with Israel? I know all the religious mambo-jambo, but is there more to why American folks feel so connected to Israel? Or is it just more people dieing in the name of God stuff? I’m getting a little frustrated with all of it.

Topic: Biz accountant?
Hi All: I know there are some self-employed folks on here who can hopefully help a girl out…my wife is beginning to think about starting her own biz, but needs to bounce some high level questions off an accountant first. Things like LLC vs S Corp stuff and what gets deducted. Any recommendations of someone local and good who will tell it like it is? Thanks!
