If you’re looking for a local CPR refresher, you might want to check out CPR Cart as an alternative to the Red Cross. They offer affordable CPR certification and renewal options with a blended format—complete the online portion at your own pace and then do a short, in-person skills check.

It’s a great option if it’s been a few years since your last class and you just need a refresher without spending a lot of time or money. CPR Cart also offers BLS, ACLS, PALS, and many locations allow same-day completion.

Worth a look if you want something convenient and budget-friendly.

Hello. I sincerely hope you are not going to be diagnosed, but I had exceptional care from Kaiser Permanente on Capitol Hill. I was diagnosed, tested counseled there. For my two surgeries, both were done by incredible Doctors and other Professionals at their Bellevue location. My recovery was three days in Hospital with great care. Afterward, Chemo and other treatments were done at the Capitol Hill location. I have NO concerns or complaints, after being in recovery for about 6 years now. I cannot recommend them enough. Good luck and best wishes.

If you or a neighbor has a ring doorbell, congrats, you are now being scanned into a database and all your movements are being tracked by the company “flock safety” that added ai to ring doorbells. but not just you, every car thar drives by. And everybody on foot will also be scanned into the nationwide ai database, stripping away your rights to privacy, more and more, the longer the ring doorbell stays up. Missing -> 3 birthday cards (nice ones with plastic around them) in a small CVS Health plastic bag (from CVS Health store on California Ave. SW). My relative was on foot and put them inside coat pocket after purchasing and somehow didn’t make it into pocket safely enough to walk home (or partially and then fell out while walking).

I will never give my money to a business that disrespects their employees by not paying them. I’m surprised they found someone who would lease to them after they were evicted from their previous location for failure to pay rent. Are you seeing a pattern here?

Oof this is a tough one. Before you mentioned the seasonal aspect, i was going to mention the pea patch library readings in the summer on Delridge.

When my kiddo was closer to your kiddo’s age, I searched for swim lessons because that is an important safety skill and tires them out. I found a woman giving affordable lessons at the Evergreen pool in Burien.

We usually also shared a meal once a week with another parent of a young child because it was easier to parent two kids together than one alone. We’d alternate houses and make pasta usually.

The gym that ended up working for that stage was the Y (in the junction). My kid LOVES the kid zone and the hours are consistent. He’s still excited to go.

    Hello,
I’m the mother of a 2 1/2 year old and finding it incredibly frustrating how few low cost or free activities exist for us to participate in after I get off work in the evenings. It seems every parent activity in our area is designed for stay-at-home parents (generally moms). We’ve done everything I can think of – joined the West Seattle Health Club, go to The Little Gym but it shouldn’t require us to pay over a hundred dollars a month for every activity our child participates in, not to mention the inflexibility of time associated with these small windows of availability. Have others found other things to do with their kids in the evenings during these long dark months? Thank you!

Thank you–duct tape is a good idea…not sure it will work as the bumper is tough to pull out and over the lip of the engine compartment–where it’s held on. I’ll try fiddling with it again, but I may need a shop pro to even duct tape it and zip tie it. Alas, I love this old car, with a manual, runs great, and I cringe to think of the money to fix it up right, or god forbid, get another car. That’s life. One thing after another.

Just trying to verify that I am following the rules of the road. I have seen people make contradicting comments here in the blog.

For traffic circles (rules of the road) is this correct?

    1. Traffic circles are considered “circular intersections.”
    RCW 46.04.118

    2. Follow any STOP or YIELD signs at the circle.
    RCW 46.61.190

    3. If the circle has no control signs:

The first vehicle to arrive goes first.
    RCW 46.61.180

If two vehicles arrive at the same time, the vehicle on the right has the right-of-way; the vehicle on the left yields.
    RCW 46.61.180

    4. Always drive to the right of the circle (counter-clockwise around the island).

This is directed at the minivan driver who is too stupid to understand how a roundabout works and hit me with your car at the intersection of 40th and Genesee tonight.

I am hereby challenging you to a duel to the death. I think people like you are a blight on this nation. However unlike you I am not a coward who simply keeps driving after turning left at a roundabout and nearly killing someone. I will meet you face to face and fight you with honor and dignity.

If you accept, please reply and I will send you armament details and location.

If you refuse my challenge, I hope the rest of your days are riddled with misery.
