star 55ParticipantWe are looking for a local refresher CPR course, it has been years since our last class, any ideas other than the Red Cross at $41.

datamuseParticipantAre you looking for something cheaper? Because that’s one of the lower fees I’ve seen for something like this. (I’m interested too as my certification has expired, but scheduling has been an issue.)
Sometimes you can get training through work. When my library got an AED unit, the university paid for training for any library staff who wanted it, which was great.

herongrrrlParticipantI think Highline Medical Center (Burien) sometimes offers refresher courses that are cheaper than that. They have a publication that gets mailed out quarterly (I think?) that lists their courses. You could probably find the same info online or in one of their WS clinic offices (just east of Jefferson Square).

grrltravelerMemberWe took a class at Queen Anne Community Center at night – through the Seattle Parks and Rec. I looked to see if they were offering it and did not see it but you might call them and ask about it. I don’t think it cost that much.

DianeParticipantI have received cpr training and certification via fire depts for many years; always free; when I lived in Newcastle, and after moving to West Seattle, I went to Mercer Island fire dept, but pretty sure all fire depts offer free cpr classes; you can either get on their list for next class coming up, or if you organize a group, they will schedule a class for you

first aid classes via fire dept have a small fee

CBMemberThere are classes offered through the Seattle Office of Emergency Management, along with Emergency Preparedness related classes. I don’t see any posted for CPR today, but keep checking this link

goodgracesParticipantI took a class through CPR Seattle last fall — it was great. http://www.cprseattle.com/ No nonsense, quick, relatively inexpensive. They meet at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford. Easy to get to from I-5, and a lovely setting too. :-)

rockhillsMemberAccording to their catalog, Seattle Parks and Rec has three scheduled at South Park CC in the next few months: Jan 17, Feb 21, and Mar/21. They say to call the American Red Cross to register at 206-726-3534.

dtomfordParticipantIf you’re looking for a local CPR refresher, you might want to check out CPR Cart as an alternative to the Red Cross. They offer affordable CPR certification and renewal options with a blended format—complete the online portion at your own pace and then do a short, in-person skills check.
It’s a great option if it’s been a few years since your last class and you just need a refresher without spending a lot of time or money. CPR Cart also offers BLS, ACLS, PALS, and many locations allow same-day completion.
Worth a look if you want something convenient and budget-friendly.

FlameheartParticipantIf convenience matters, places like CPR Seattle or similar blended online + skills check options can be a solid, budget-friendly alternative.
