Someone clipped my 2002 subaru outback and partially tore the front bumper off. It’s still attached on one side, but hanging over the headlight on the other side. Someone suggested I ziptie it on to get it to a body shop. I don’t need a perfect job done, just need to be able to drive it. Any recommendations for a reasonable body shop, or very handy people who might have an idea how to jury rig this? I’m off of 35th by the West Seattle Library…..thanks.

If you have any duct tape that would be a temporary hold also.

Since you’re so close, go to Hans Auto Repair and ask them. Great guys who should be able to recommend someone.

Thank you–duct tape is a good idea…not sure it will work as the bumper is tough to pull out and over the lip of the engine compartment–where it’s held on. I’ll try fiddling with it again, but I may need a shop pro to even duct tape it and zip tie it. Alas, I love this old car, with a manual, runs great, and I cringe to think of the money to fix it up right, or god forbid, get another car. That’s life. One thing after another.
