5911 block of California ave SW last night, sometime past 11:00 p.m. …emergency vehicles moving fast enough for me to know they weren’t stopping nearby; glad nothing showed up in the logs; maybe they were able to put a quick stop to whatever went sideways.

We need a dog wrangler in West Seattle. Put simply, we need a person who will show up for an interview and demonstrate that we can count on them. Our philosophy is that we’ll take care of our employees and we expect them to do a good job in return.

To us, a great candidate is highly motivated with a desire to learn new skills and techniques. They also love dogs and people and are comfortable and confident interacting with both. Keeping our facility clean and our dogs healthy is a top priority so we need your help with that. No previous dog experience is required, but it’s helpful.

To that end, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the basics of the job:

    – Have good customer service skills
    – Have a positive attitude and *extreme* patience
    – Be willing to get dirty
    – Be willing to learn all proper sanitizing and disinfecting techniques used in our daycare setting
    – Be able to be on your feet for multiple hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and be physically fit enough to stay active in a very high energy environment
    – Be able to follow direction and work as a team, yet also to work independently when needed
    – Pay close attention to detail and be highly organized
    – Have a flexible schedule, early morning, midday and evening shifts are all needed
    – You must be at least 18 years old

We are looking for a part-time employee to work 15 to 20 hours per week. You may also be required to work an occasional overnight shift if the need arises. The position starts at $11.50 per hour plus tips. Wage plus tips will equal a minimum of $14 per hour worked in the pay period – though we usually average more!

PLEASE don’t drop by or call, the dog can get very excited during our busier times!

Email your resume and cover letter to info@gooddog-inc.com explaining why you think you’d be a good fit here at Good Dog. We’ll then start with a phone screen followed by an in-person interview for which you’ll need to show up and be on time.

Please include any other jobs or obligations you may have at the moment, and what (if any) days/shifts you are not available.

Questions and resume submissions should be directed to info@gooddog-inc.com (please no calls or walk-ins, we have a small and busy staff managing a fun group of good dogs!).

Is it a car radio? A few years ago when the radio quit in my Buick the shop-South Park Tire Factory sent it to a shop(Kent?)that rebuilds radio’s. They fixed mine and it worked good. Otherwise if it’s for your home you’ll just have to start calling around to shops that sell radios and see if they have any leads. I suspect you’ll have a hard time finding a repair shop. Best bet is you’ll have to find someone that does repairs in their basement as a hobby.

I’ve had the “pleasure” of being right behind this silver Jeep twice on SB 35th Ave SW before it turns east somehwere into Sunrise heights. I live in Gatewood. Not only does this Jeep have a Proud Boys sticker, it also has an InfoWars/Alex Jones sticker on the right side. LOL. If it wasn’t indirectly/directly racist it would be super hilarious. Having a sticker advocating for InfoWars (or not removing it from a purchased vehicle) definitely makes me question their intellectual soundness. Not the sharpest tool in the shed for sure.

More generally, I find racism just dumb. It is such an intellectually hollow argument. If there is such a thing as a superior race (unlikely) they would be much smarter than to tout dumb concepts like racial superiority. Racists are mostly petty inadequate people who can’t think of better things to do.

Who I was as a teen, 30 years ago, informs who I am now. There is n sudden tabula rasa at some magical point and if he’d bee prosecuted rather than protected then he’s have a court record, a conviction as a sex offender and ineligible anyway. So, yes, who you are as a teen matters.

If you need another example look at Brock Turner. Raped a passed out girl behind a dumpster and skated. The girl, however, is destroyed. Brock turner has been actively shielded by his parents and his father said that a few minutes of action shouldn’t ruin this promising young man’s life. But no one says what it did to this young woman. What kind of person will Brock Turner be? I guess we’ll know in 30 years but he was called to the carpet, even though the sentence was pathetic and to say it didn’t fit the crime is an understatement.

Being investigated and convicted is a chief difference.

Kavanaugh is dogmatic and it’s visible all over the place. Given that his public court records have been sealed so that only around 7% are able to be reviewed is a sign of more of that shielding. All other court pick have had all of their records available for scrutiny. This fact alone should disqualify him.

Just a thought on one part of this; you posted this at 12:33 am today, Thursday the 13th. Was “yesterday” to you at the time Wednesday the 12th, or Tuesday the 11th? If the latter, and if in the evening perhaps after 8:00 pm, SPD resources may have been tied up in searching for the missing Arbor Heights woman (since found safe)that would have potentially been headed to the Westwood Village area.

I know that doesn’t make your situation any less traumatic or answer your entire question, but may be an explanation of the lateness or response to your issue and the reason the officer was coming from the WWV area in particular.

    Hi all
Had an incident at our house yesterday in Belvedere and was curious what folks thought of the police response. Had a man trying to get into our house via multiple doors (thankfully all locked), who ended up prowling around and defecating in our yard. We were on hold with 911 for more than 15 minutes before the police arrived, just in time to get him as he was driving off.
Luckily this guy didn’t end up having violence in mind but if he had, fifteen minutes seems like an awfully long time to respond to an active home invasion. It’s not like we were saying “Hey, take your time” – we were frantic and yelling A LOT. The responding officer said they were way down by Barton around Target but I can drive that in 15 minutes – I’d hope they could go a little more quickly.
Am I out of line thinking that? Because if 15 minutes is acceptable I’m going to take more active measures to protect myself.
    Thank
    Cristiano
