Hello. We have one child in the Spanish Dual Immersion Program (currently 4th grade, rising 5th in September 2022). Recently, we are approved for a relocation to Seattle (we are in East Coast) and looking into a school with dual language program in Seattle and surrounding areas to continue our son’s education.

If you are transferring from out-of-state, is it difficult to secure a spot in the Concord Int at higher grade elementary? Also, we would really like to know the
Dual language program at Denny International Middle School and Chief Sealth International High School, should we (if we can get into Concord) decide to stay with immersion going forward. Deeply appreciate your comments on this.
    Thank you.

If you’re willing to see a naturopath, I would highly recommend Neighborhood Naturopathic, which is a WSB sponsor. Here is a blog post about them from last month:
    .

Neighborhood Naturopathic: Welcome, new WSB sponsor!

    .
I see Dr Taylor who is a little bit hard to get into, but I’ve also seen Dr. Middleman and Dr. Doterro. They have varying appointment times based on whether it’s a simple, acute condition, or a more complex one. I usually book a 45-minute appointment to really be heard and I really love that they’re not just shoving meds at you (unless needed) and also ask questions about everything going on in your life in a holistic approach.

Dr. Dagg at Swedish (right near Petco in the junction) is old school in the sense that he doesn’t prescribe pills if he doesn’t have to. Most I’ve gotten from him is a regiment of ibuprofen for a week and see if that cures my pain. Usually does. I like this about him.

On the flip side, he is part of a corporation that needs “billables” so in my experience, while he is very nice, he also doesn’t spend as much time with me as I’d like. Might just be me though.

This post is using my husbands user name. I am 66 years old and ever since around 40 most of, no, all of my Doctors have retired (how dare they do that!).
Since then I have not been able to find one single Doctor that in my words is a good old school doctor, you know the ones that care about their patients, listen to their patients, figure out what is ailing them without the first words coming out of their mouths is “well lets try this pill”. My question is, is there any of those Doctors left in this world or are we all reduced to going with their prescribed wonder pills that really don’t do anything but mask the problem? I know there are pills that do cure and are needed but to me the majority don’t.
Please recommend your Doctor if you think they fit what I am looking for.West Seattle/Burien area preferred
    Thank you.
