I’m retired and my DIY plumbing skills are insufficient for unclogging the backed-up drain of my kitchen sink. Please recommend someone I can call and hire ASAP to snake and unclog the sink, and save me from having to wash pans and dishes in my bathtub. Your replies to this request would be very greatly appreciated!
Topic: Westcrest Dog Park
Hey everybody! I’m putting together a little “park party” at Westcrest Dog Park for anyone who wants to volunteer and help out this Saturday, Oct. 21st, at 10:30am. Unfortunately, there’s no funding left for us at the moment, but I will try and bring some coffee and snacks to get started. There are plenty of tools to go around but it can’t hurt to bring any if you got’em. Especially outdoor gloves. The biggest things to get done before the real rainy season comes are getting rid of the last blackberry bushes and filling in holes. Spread the word as its a great way to get volunteer hours if you want em, and I’ll put up some signs tomorrow/Wednesday at the park as another reminder. See you all then and reach out if you have any questions, concerns or ideas!

Bella Mente Early Learning in West Seattle is looking for After School Program Teachers
This position will be Monday-Friday 1:30pm-5:30pm.
Our Afterschool program follows the Reggio framework just as our Preschool does, and our school age students become mentors throughout the school.
We have created an environment where children feel secure and confident and are treated as proficient individuals who are capable of communicating and problem solving and who want to be a part of their own learning.
Our teachers are competent leaders who participate in the overall development of our school. Our classrooms work individually to develop curriculum around the interests, inquiries, and identities of the children and teacher that they serve. We want to bring in teachers who can help us in continuing to grow toward what our intended vision is for our school.
If you are a responsible, reflective, collaborative, and compassionate individual, we would love for you to reach out.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Scott Monroe and Molly Kemper from Windermere West Metro to purchase our first home. We were referred to them from a family member who also had an excellent experience. From our initial conversations and throughout the whole process, Scott and Molly were friendly and professional, somehow they always made us feel like we were their only clients. Communication was clear and concise about how each part of the process would move forward, making sure we fully understood each step. As well as listening to all our wants, needs, and concerns.
Their vast knowledge of the greater Seattle area and the competitive market, allowed us to get an incredible home and deal that far exceeded our expectations, in a neighborhood we had overlooked. Our search was long, there were times we felt like we were seeking the impossible and would have to compromise on our non negotiables, but they kept the morale high. Molly was always positive and reassuring and encouraging us not to settle.
When looking at properties they both offered insights that we would not have found from anyone else. Molly, with the design and aesthetics. Scott, with his knowledge of construction. They were able to determine the quality of the structure and quickly see all of the very important potential issues that could arise with the property. They never hesitated to give their honest opinions, whether it was an amazing investment or a hard pass. They were also extremely accommodating regarding scheduling viewings and making themselves available on short notice when necessary. They went out of their way to ensure every detail was taken care of, from arranging inspections to researching potential issues with a property. Scott even went back after our final offer went in to take a closer look at some things we were still concerned about to offer peace of mind.
When we were ready to put an offer in, Scott and Molly consistently found ways to get us the best deal possible. On our final offer there were some last minute challenges and Scott and Molly moved quickly to make changes and keep us competitive. They offered insights on how we needed to update our offer and knew exactly when to submit, they were spot on with everything.
We cannot recommend Scott and Molly enough. In today’s market it is crucial to have a strong team on your side so you can confidently make fast decisions on one of the biggest purchases in your life. We were able to confidently get our dream home because of them. It feels like a dream to be living in our new home and not be stressed about a single thing. It is absolutely perfect in every way.
I rarely go out to eat since I am limited on what I can eat. However, for my wife’s birthday we started the day with breakfast at Luna Park Cafe. With the whole family seated at the table we had a diverse diet with 3 vegetarians and a vegan. It had been a while since I have eaten at Luna Park so as a vegetarian that does not eat cheese or any dairy, I figured I would have a veggie omelet. After looking at the menu I came across the entire page of vegan choices. This was a relief because the one vegan in our group had choices. Three of us ordered the tofu scramble. Now I remember having good breakfast times at Luna Park, especially when my adult children were young, I always ordered the south of the boarder omelet, but this tofu scramble was the best restaurant breakfast I ever had. The flavors were amazing. I do not know what vegan options there are for lunch and dinner, if they offer them, I am sure they are delicious, but this has to be the BEST vegan restaurant for breakfast.
Hi all. I’m not sure if this is the right place to be posting this. Let me know if there is a better place.
The owner of the Puerto Vallarta restaurant in West Seattle, Eduardo Morales-Cadenas, was also my landlord recently. He owes me $900. I did expect him to steal this and I failed to ever get a lease written up despite it being promised before I moved in. When living in the house I only had communication with the owner through someone else. I understand this is an extremely sketchy situation and I am unlikely to get my money. I was desperate at the time of move in. As a last attempt to get my money (since I am a broke college student and it would pay for an entire class for me, or a months rent) I would like to call Lalo himself. So I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find contact info for him. I know that he is the owner of Puerto Vallarta as well as several other properties in the area, but I’m struggling to find a phone number. Since starting to try and find one, I have also found out that the man has been in extensive legal trouble related to stealing and selling stolen liquor at his restaurants.
Thanks for reading.Large black and white spotted dog was in front of 8421 20th ave. Looked like it may have just gotten out of its yard but it charged across the street at my dog and I aggressively, thought he backed down when I yelled loudly at him. Think he may have just been territorial but not wanting a fight. Not sure how to attach a pic but I have one if anyone thinks they might know this dog

Benn noticing an increase of people walking or jogging in the street or bike paths. Seen the more than a few times on Admiral Way. Have read stories in the past in the Times and there was also a discussion here on the blog as what their reasoning is. I’m certainly not bothered by it, just notice and curious. First question would be who’s liable if there was contact between them and a car-or bike.

This post is going to be in 2 parts – Part1 is the story as I write down this fresh memory, and Part2 is questions about pet law and “attack” law.
Part1 – Story
_
I’m still so surprised. I was walking my dog on 39th off of Thistle, beautiful day, delightful walk. I see a pair of cats in a yard with an open chainlink fence, so we angle out toward the street to give them plenty of space. Then suddenly, one of the cats attacks the other then turns and charges out of its yard through the gate and attacks my dog. While my dog cries a horrible cry I’ve never heard before I try to pull her away and in to the street to get away but the cat starts charging again. I stomped my foot to try to scare it away and it hesitates and hisses. Moments later we’ve run to the other side of the street and I’m looking my dog over to make sure she’s ok. My dog is under 30lbs and is afraid of everything. She just looks so sad and confused, blood on her nose. I hope she doesnt develop reactivity to other animals as a result of this.
The across the street neighbors have now come out of their house after hearing my dogs cries and ask if everything is alright. I was worried they would think my dog started something but they knew the scoop already. They tell me that this particular cat has been charging and attacking dogs for some time now. They’ve seen it time and time again and try to warn people to stay away from this house.Part2 – What Next?
_
So many things had to go wrong for this to happen. Is this cat getting old and losing its mind? It attacked its friend and then us, it was clearly over threshold. Why are the cats left outside and stationed near the gate? Why is the chainlink gate left all the way open? Why are these cats still allowed outside after repeated attacks of passerbys? Can anyone educate me on cat pet laws? If the attacker were a dog instead of a cat, this would be a problem that most people would agree needs a solution – Like making sure the pet has a space, maybe in the backyard, where it can feel safe and calm. But because the attacker is a cat, I’m not sure how to approach this. Is the owner legally obligated to keep an aggressive cat inside their property? Should this cat be on some kind of animal control record? I apologize if these questions sound harsh but I’m really unclear on what’s the right thing to do here.
Thanks
