You’re definitely looking at both sides of the problem, which is good.

From what I’ve seen, basement issues like this usually start outside with drainage (downspouts, grading, yard slope), but once water gets in, it can quickly turn into a bigger water damage problem behind walls and flooring.

I’ve come across similar situations where people focused only on French drains but didn’t fully deal with the moisture already inside — that’s when mold and hidden damage start developing.

In cases like this, it really helps to understand how water damage Las Vegas situations are handled, especially when it comes to proper drying, cleanup, and preventing it from happening again.

I’d fix the source first, then look at drainage solutions to keep water away long term.

Comfort with physical activity (lifting, moving artwork, packing materials)

    Hi. I like this original post….And I’m a street kid, lol…Excellent word choices, :D
    …bad habits…😆

I did used to work at Slice Street Media Productions, which aimed to, and succeeded at, helping street kids to help themselves through vending …but the Slice…was never like this 🤑🫠🤬🥴🥺show, that is Real Change.

For starters, ALL contributors to the publication, were street kids, and it operated as an anthology, rather than Corporate, Help Nobody “not for profits”, such as Compass Center, as merely an avenue to get hurt’n people to flog off their political agendas, on the off chance that they might get a kickdown from folks they are led to believe, that they have some sort of God-Given right to well, aggressively panhandle under the guise of “vending” papers

Someone clipped my 2002 subaru outback and partially tore the front bumper off. It’s still attached on one side, but hanging over the headlight on the other side. Someone suggested I ziptie it on to get it to a body shop. I don’t need a perfect job done, just need to be able to drive it. Any recommendations for a reasonable body shop, or very handy people who might have an idea how to jury rig this? I’m off of 35th by the West Seattle Library…..thanks.

SRed Wiggler worms for compostingummer’s over and it’s time to clean up your garden and yard. Yard waste and/or kitchen scraps can be composted into living soil ready for next year. The key is using red wiggler worms, mushroom mycelium, and beneficial microorganisms.

How? I’ve been composting for years and can share a compost starter much like sourdough or kombucha. Imagine a 32 ounce takeout container full of mature compost to jumpstart your compost bin or pile.

All of this and your questions answered too for only $20.

I live in West Seattle, Arbor Heights area These noises have been going on close to 2 months and driving me frigging crazy. In the morning not very loud at all but at night, I can’t really give a time, but tonight 10-4-25, it started around 8pm. It starts out low then gets louder. There’s the hum then there’s also like so.e sort of machinery sound that kicks in. Also it creates a vibration in my house. It’s pretty creepy. What’s even weirder is if I go outside I don’t hear it. There are couple other sounds too. I’m sleep deprived and half crazy.

I don’t think you can know what either participant was thinking, but if the driver actually “thought” that the runner would pause that suggests two things. First, the driver expected that the runner would wait for him to turn; second, the driver saw the runner headed toward the crosswalk and therefore had no excuse not to yield. The other impossibility is that the runner would have been able to psychically intuit the intentions of all the drivers behind him and adjusted his gait to allow them right of way. It’s common sense that the runner should have looked over his shoulder before entering the street to make sure he’d been seen. But given the fact that eye contact is a myth, and that many, many drivers do not obey the law, this doesn’t guarantee safety for anyone. The driver would be wrong in any of these scenarios. Nor are there laws governing the speed at which a pedestrian can/must traverse a crosswalk.

Driving south on California in the heart of the Alaska Junction mid-day Saturday. Busy with traffic. Traffic not moving in store front lane with outer lane plugging up.
Ends up a car is stopped in the inner lane. Blinkers on. Driver keeps looking toward sidewalk, seemingly at a pedestrian engaged in conversation with another pedestrian.
Incredibly selfish driving behavior. Blocking an entire lane and distrupting traffic just to convenience themselves. Why not drive around the block until pick up ready? Why not park legally?
    Incredibly selfish driving bahavior!

I just wanted to drop a recommendation for Strong Hammer & Brush for exterior house painting and carpentry here, in case anyone’s looking to get that type of work done. At the very beginning of this year, I got estimates from several companies to paint the exterior of my 1940s Highland Park home and to rebuild exterior stairs that were starting to rot. All estimates I received were in the same ballpark, but what I appreciated about Peter from Strong Hammer & Brush was his attention to detail, personability, and communication regarding what he and his team would do to get my home ready for painting and to preserve the longevity of my home’s exterior (I still have cedar siding, which I love). He also asked me thoughtful questions about my preferences for stair design and offered some color suggestions where I was waffling, which I appreciated. We communicated back and forth via email regarding the contract and scheduling, and Peter was quick to respond to any questions I had. Prep, painting and carpentry began on schedule and was completed pretty quickly. My house looks so lovely—I’m very happy with the work that was done. The only work that wasn’t anticipated in the initial estimate was repair of a window casing and sill where rot was discovered during pressure washing. The additional cost for materials and labor seemed very reasonable, and the repair looks great. My new exterior stairs are very nice—they are solid, really attractive and the design goes well with the style of my house. I highly recommend reaching out to Peter Shank if you’re looking to have painting and/or carpentry work done! https://www.stronghammerandbrush.com/
