We’re getting reports of brown water in south Highland Park this morning. While that’s often a sign of hydrant testing this time of year,i it’s also sometimes a sign of trouble somewhere in the lines, so whenever it happens, be sure to report it to Seattle Public Utilities at 206-386-1800.
10:25 water is brown in kitchen & bathroom, on 12th and Barton. Currently running tap for 3-5 minutes to see if that flushes it out (as per the Seattle City # I just called). Will report back
Spoke to city and they told me the fire dept was testing hydrants and that it should clear in a few hours.
We have brown water as well as of this morning but it’s 4pm and still hasn’t cleared even after running cold water taps for a bit at 13th and Henderson.
