TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Between-holidays Monday watch

(SDOT MAP with travel times/ Is the ‘low bridge’ closed? LOOK HERE/ West Seattle-relevant traffic cams HERE)

7:15 AM: Good morning! No incidents or alerts reported in our area so far.

7:46 AM: We are headed out on an errand this morning. Just took 15 minutes to get from Upper Fauntleroy to I-5 via the eastbound bridge. 5 is a bit sluggish, though.

BUS STOP NOTE: A reader called to say the SB 35th SW bus stop at Avalon is literally trashed this morning; he’s reported it to Metro.

Pretty wet for a “foggy” day.

Regarding your 7:15 AM post guess you didn’t see/hear about the: No visual but report of a collision at Delridge Way SW & SW Hudson St on SDOT Traffic.  My partner had to help the driver out of his car after the driver decided to chase parked cars on Delridge this morning… apparently took out about 3 or 4 cars this morning at about 6:00 AM

Yes, I saw it, but that SDOT tweet was at 5:57 am – there was no indication that was still an active incident at 7:15 – no texts, calls, scanner traffic, etc.

No left turn from northbound 35th to Alaska. Even a cop there when I drove by an hour ago and people still trying to make the turn while others waited or honked. Pay attention please. Thanks.

Thank you WSB for reaching out to our readership regarding the debris substantial amount at the bus stop on 35th ave. Called in metro customer service 206 553 3000 and reported it hopefully it will be addressed soon.

I drove by this area again about an hour later. Coming down the hill there are 2 signs saying no left turn. Sure enough I saw a car do it right in front of the traffic cop. He just rolled his window down, talked to the cop then drove off.  A few minutes later I was heading up the hill and a car coming down the hill started to make the turn then swerved back in to the northbound lane. I bet this goes on all day.

There is a large emergency response on the WB West Seattle bridge, near the curve.

published a blurb about that – didn’t hear about it until we happened onto it while heading back from our off-peninsula errand. thank you.

Has there been any update on when the two way Columbia street busway will open? I thought the crazy sodo reroute was going to end in January 2020 but I haven’t heard anything in awhile.

I have had that inquiry out to SDOT since last Thursday. Apparently the project point person(s) is out for the holiday. Will publish the update whenever I get it. – TR

Knowing the SDOT, they will have issues meeting the timeline, so 3 to 1 it’s being pushed back to March 2020, and I hope I’m wrong

Sorry, comment time is over.
