  Sorry to hear some of you find it creepy. I may not understand how the cat knows, but I can appreciate that the cat probably brings comfort to dying people who may not have much otherwise. I only hope the cat is as lucky when its time comes.

  My cats don’t leave my side if I’m sick. If a particular joint is hurting, they will lick it. They just KNOW. We joke in my house that they are “guarding us from the sickness.” It’s nice to know that they are there, and that they care. Cats are a lot less “aloof” than what folks seem to think.
