When is Westcrest play area going to really open?

The signage says that construction should be complete in March 2015, which of course has now come and gone. People have knocked over segments of the fence surrounding the “moat” and playground in justifiable anarchy and are regularly playing and walking their dogs inside the forbidden zone. When is the actual opening, anyone know? It’s WAY overdue!

I wonder if the “anarchists” are actually delaying the project, if their actions are preventing/delaying the turf from becoming established? :-/

Welp, that completely answers my question; thanks miws! So, mid-July. It looks like the turf is pretty established to me, but I’m no turf expert, so I’ll look forward to the grand opening next month.

I’d suggest, if you are comfortable doing so, calling out any trespassing anarchists, and mention to them that their actions are only delaying full enjoyment of the area for everyone.

But then again, that just might start…..ummmmm…. a Turf War.
