clamdiggerParticipantIt’s just past Walking on Logs and has to have been there for at *least* five days. I’ve called Animal Control twice. “We know about it” has been the response. Is there any other office/service that could be called to remove it?

clulessinwsParticipantWe’ve noticed it too. About 10 years ago a DOT crew re-painted one of those solid lines. It was on the eastbound side and they painted over a dead racoon or squirrel. Made national news IIRC.

Wes C. AddleParticipantI think this needs to happen in West Seattle now:

wakefloodParticipantOh, Rocky, we hardly knew ye but you were always there for us…always.

DuskyvioletParticipantIt was a raccoon cluless. I remember seeing it while driving home one evening and being horrified by the shear laziness of the DOT crew. The photo ended up on the cover of the Stranger a few days later.

melissaParticipantAaaaand, this brings to mind a long time favorite:

wsn00bParticipant@935: Don’t forget about the all the garbage that has been exposed now that they cut down some of the weeds at the bridge connection to the 35th and Fauntleroy. And now it seems more garbage is showing up. This whole entrance to West Seattle screams “Welcome to this dump”.
August 12, 2015 at 7:01 pm #826765
SmittyParticipantAre we absolutely sure it’s not a possum????
August 12, 2015 at 8:14 pm #826766
JoBParticipantremind me to avoid the Alaska approach to the bridge
August 12, 2015 at 8:18 pm #826767
SmittyParticipantIt’s been removed…..or it really was a possum!
August 13, 2015 at 5:46 am #826768
JanSParticipantwsn00b….and yet the people keep moving here, despite trying to discourage by looking “dumplike”…
August 13, 2015 at 3:05 pm #826769
wsn00bParticipantYeah JanS. If it was more clean and upscale, less people would be able to move in and some folks would be forced out: Density problem solved. [/sarcasm]
Note that slums (in several Asian countries) are some of the highest density places on earth.
