Anyone know what this was? It was really odd looking, and I am ever so curious :)

    Thanks

Search Google for ‘Geoengineering’, ‘Barium aerosols’ and ‘weather modification’. Nothing new, these cOVERT operations have been going on up in the PNW skies for some time now.

Maybe they were doing some training and it was from a flare

Was there a low-pitched hum as well?

There were burn bans yesterday for areas around the sound, and with the stagnant air and warm weather I suspect that the orange (I saw it as orange/brown) color was a layer of NO2 a component of smog. From my house it appeared as a thin layer hanging about 200 feet off the water.

NO2 is brown at warm temperatures, and becomes a colorless form when the air is cooler (as is usually the case in winter, just not this January).
