Hi just wanted to give a huge shout out to the two men who stopped to help an elderly lady who fell trying to cross at 35th & Avalon yesterday afternoon around 4:00 pm. While the woman who was trying to make a turn at the light sat in her Jeep and watched :( a young man ran to assist her and another man stopped his orange pick up and jumped out to assist…I caught it while pumping gas at the 7/11….You’re heros!!

Did the woman in her car just sit there after she saw the two men helping, or did she actually witness the fall and continue to just wait in her car? Maybe it caught her off-guard and took a moment to register what had happened? I’d hope it were the latter, because I’d hate to think of someone being that selfish and unwilling to help.

That said, I’m glad there were good samaritans around, and I hope the elderly woman is OK! What an unnerving situation.
