    Hi There WSB folks,

I am currently in Ballard and need to get home. Has anyone ventured out to see if the roads are drivable if I drive slowly? Or at least have they been plowing and sanding down on Delridge?

Any assistance you can provide would be super!!

    Thanks,

    Miss K

MissK, there’s running commentary on the home page about road conditions.

If around any of the western most points of 116th Ave – poor. Granted the bus lane is sanded to a degree… not to be encouraged to drive with less than a full 4wd.

we have 4wd and it isn’t pretty. we live on 4th sw and finally had a plow go by heading south bound.

so please do be careful and if you don’t have to drive then don’t

We just got back from the Junction:

California down towards Gatewood is fine IF you have 4wd and/or chains. Gatewood Hill has just been sanded again. Several people in non-SUVs getting stuck, mostly when trying to make left hand turns. There are fairly large snow piles in between the lane ridges. Chains are absolutely essential right now! Would like to know how Fauntleroy down to Lincoln Park is.

Hi – if we could PLEASE keep driving conditions to the home page threads – Alice is monitoring those plus our running narrative/photos for updating maps – I don’t want to add a third stream. I think the forums are great for talking about everything else, how to cope with the snow, the birds, how sick we are of the snow, whatever else, and don’t want to dampen conversation, but I really appreciate the driving conditions staying in one place for folks – I feel bad enough that we have to keep switching the posts from morn to afternoon to eve, but it seems to have worked OK so far. Or crosspost if you want to talk roads here too. THANKS … if at some point in the future we figure out how to have everything talking to each other for one seamless stream, that is my online dream, so it doesn’t matter where you make your comments (FriendFeed is kind of a start), they can be accessed in one place, we’ll be looking for it :)

That would be great with exception of:…

The mainstream posts are integrated into the map and most of us were directed here to post a reply…

Drove to work today. Just arrived. Admiral from the Met Market to the bridge is plowed. Bridge Plowed but still has compact snow and ice. They were saying on the radio I5 is about the same as of right now. I would hold off going all the way to Portland until we see if the snow actually holds off for a bit.
