Then in the wine department, a lady was right there helping me out.

KayzelMemberWell, yes. I was there specifically to get Garnet yams and Hungarian smoked paprika for a recipe, and staff was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Another errand took me to Thriftway the next day and I price-checked: Same yam, 33% less $. Same paprika, 25% less $. Just saying.

JoBParticipantKayzel..
would you have found the garnet yams and hungarian smoked paprika at thriftway on your own?
if so, you paid a heavy premium for the items.
if not, you paid a fair price for expertise.

LexMemberpeople its the least they can do for the prices they charge lol
December 4, 2009 at 1:02 am #682824Met Market has good prices on fruit, vegetables, dairy, tofu, and brown rice. They get you on all the “extras.”

austinMemberI just got two pounds of bananas from met market for no cost. I like the monthly free item cards they send out. True, I stayed and bought some beer while I was there, but I'd have probably gotten that independently of the bananas anyway. I like met market because I can walk there, because it is clean, and they have excellent pita bread. It's not my sole source of food but the bottom line isn't my only concern either.

hollyplaceParticipantI really Love Met Market for their hot dinners when I am eating alone and don't feel like cooking. Out of our local grocery stores they have the best cheese and seafood, and I can always find something for a gift or something for myself if I dare to venture upstairs.

Oh yeah, that area, doh, nm. :/
Does anyone know if they sell lollypop sticks?

kParticipantmet market is one of the many reasons i am grateful to be back in west seattle. i do know they are pricey, but for very specific items needed for recipes they are fantastic. also, as itneverrainsinwestseattle stated, they have great produce and dairy. personally, i could live at the cheese counter. we are lucky we have so many grocery choices (still no trader joe's though) here in WS. it makes it easy to shop a couple stores for what you need.
