wakefloodParticipantA good friend in WS is desperate for a home to rent starting April 1. Needs to be 3 bdr. 1 & 3/4 ba. and of decent size – preferably 2400 sq.ft. or larger. Garage would be nice as would a gas stove but hey, those are nice-to-haves. Rent negotiable based on the place.
Would like to stay in the southern half of town and Fauntleroy would be ideal – but again, that’s just best case scenario.
Really, really, REALLY good tenants. Super clean and respectful. Cat friendly please?
Just plain desperate, haven’t found anything and have been looking for a while.
Greatly appreciate passing this around should you know any options whatsoever?
Many thank you’s!!

BonnieParticipantHave they looked in Arbor Heights? There is usually a few rentals there and that is in the Southern side of WS and just a bit south of Fauntleroy. I live in Fauntleroy and have not seen any but if I see something I’ll post. Good luck!

SueParticipantForgive me for piggybacking on this, but I have a friend in Wallingford who’s also looking for a house rental ASAP, although anywhere in Seattle. Her home is being sold to developers and she has to move, but she is having difficulty finding anything because she and her husband have 5 children (ages 4 months to 9 years). She has been answering ads on Craigslist and everywhere else she can find, and when she gets there, they say they don’t want to rent to someone with that many children. She’s looking for a 3+ bedroom house, preferably in north Seattle (but almost anywhere at this point). Doesn’t have to be big, but would like a yard, and under $2,800/mo. They have no pets. If anybody knows of a landlord who won’t illegally discriminate against a house full of kids, I can put you in touch with her. You can contact me at butterflybalance at gmail. Thanks.
