‘Gnome, are you saying that Wayne wasn’t acting in McQ!!??? ;-)

Actually, I’ll give him The Quiet Man as a close second. He had so many good actors around him in that one, some of it rubbed off.

And not that I’m counting but there’s a bunch of really great movies in that list, by any measure. I’ll nominate Top Gun and Mrs. Doubtfire as guilty pleasures tho’ for sure.

wake – his toupee did more acting in McQ than he did; it got an Academy Award for worst hairpiece in a drama. It was turned into an Ewok for Star Wars, for which it received a ‘Best Supporting Hairball’ award. Great movie for shots of 70’s Seattle with many ‘you can’t get there from there’ sequences of him driving his Firebird Trans Am around (rip off of ‘Bullitt.’)

‘Cinderella Liberty’ with James Caan and Marsha Mason is another early-70’s Seattle-based movie worth a watch. Mason was nominated for best leading actress and there were other nominations for the score/music.

I forgot ‘Three Days of the Condor’ on the earlier list.

St. Elmo’s Fire. I seem to always find it in the same exact scene, and will always watch it until the end. I also can’t shut off any of the Matrix movies or Shawshank Redemption.
