    We are an award-winning importer and wholesaler of high-end Italian specialty food. We ship all over the US and to Canada.

    We are looking for a full-time person to add to our small but dedicated team. We will consider part-time applicants as well.

    Inside Sales/Sales Support

    The main tasks for this position are answering the phones, taking orders, providing product information, and other customer service tasks, as well as working on various spreadsheets and documents related to the import business, as needed. There could also be some support tasks related to our social media presence, and maybe some light bookkeeping. In addition to the office work there are occasional opportunities to do food demos at local specialty businesses and provide support at food shows.

    This role is best suited for a person who can work well independently and can communicate well both verbally and over email. Strong organizational skills, and the ability to bounce between different tasks are important.

    Desired Skills/Orientation

    An interest in food, where it comes from, how it is prepared, etc. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English accurately. Friendly, polite customer service skills. Respectful interpersonal communications skills. Desire to learn how to do things and then do them well. Ability to see the big picture and how your part fits into the big picture. Situational awareness.

    Helpful Skills

    Experience with QuickBooks, Dropbox, Google docs/sheets, MS Office, Outlook. Basic bookkeeping knowledge. Knowledge of Italian or other romance language.

    Health Insurance: Employees working at least 25 hours per week qualify for Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage after 60 days. The employee contribution is $50 a month.
    Predictable hours: We operate Monday through Friday.
    Sampling Allowance: We ask that employees take our products home to test in their own kitchens. This improves employee product knowledge.

    Wages vary depending on experience, skill set, and whether you choose to participate in the health insurance plan. Starting hourly wage range is $17.50 – 19.00.
