If you were referred to the prosecutor after contacting the police then that would be a criminal case and you wouldn’t be requiring an attorney, the state would be pursuing the stalker, not you.

If you are asking for funds to pursue a civil case, well, that’s a different matter and the opinion of the prosecutor is pretty much irrelevant.

Have you already filed for an order of protection?

I am confused. If you were referred to prosecutor why do you need a lawyer? You don’t have a civil care or a case pending against you. If you contacted the police and prosecutor y.it appears you are willing to do-operate with them regarding you being stalked. I am not willing to give someone money through Go Fund Me and I hope others understand what’s happening.Fishy sounding.

I wish to point out this originates out of New Mexico, not Washington State. Check the Go Fund Me page about this. Again, fishy.

That there has yet to be a single donor tells you all you need to know.

Agreed, buttercup. Aside from all the reasons stated above, how did a New Mexico GoFundMe find its way to West Seattle Blog?

The same way all those “Nigerian Prince” emails find their way into people’s email inboxes. I’d wager this GoFundMe site has been plastered onto neighborhood blogs and bulletin boards across the country. It only takes a few people taking the bait to give someone a payday.
