Dog Hit By Car Needs Surgery & Abandoned At Vet's Office‏

Hi Animal Lovers,

Just recevied this post from Animals First Foundation. Dexter’s owners brought him to South Seattle Vet one week after he had been hit by a truck and did not come back for him. {Before we judge the owners, please note they did get him to a safe place and most likely did not have the funds to pay for the surgery.} Dexter’s hip is broken and the surgery will cost about $800.00. The Doctors are not sure if they will be able to repair the hip or have to take the leg/hip. Either way, Dexter is a loving, good natured dog that gets along with other dogs and cats; and animals do just fine with three legs. One of the Vet Techs at South Seattle Vet is currently fostering Dexter and will foster him post-surgery, until he is ready for adoption.

Thanks for posting the message about Dexter. I was pleased to call them up and give them a donation over the phone.
