“Four peace activists were arrested on Friday as they attempted to make a “citizens arrest” of Karl Rove…”
Do you find these actions courageous or foolhardy?

KenParticipantI though Karl had fled to Europe. :)
We will have to wait for the Justice department to be fumigated.
I think it is better to let Bush leave office without the need to pardon Karl. His criminal acts are not going to time out under the statute of limitations. The new AG can pick him up in February.

charlabobParticipantDon’t be counting too much on the new justice department. According to one of Obama’s chief legal advisers, we don’t want to look vindictive:

ZenguyParticipantWe need to send some sort of message that says this type of behavior by elected officials is not acceptable and will not be tolerated or it could happen again. I personally want Bush prosecuted ala Vincent Bulgosi but realize that is probably not realistic to expect.

JoBParticipanti don’t expect prosecution… but i sure would enjoy it.
not so much for revenge.. but certainly to make a statement about what we expect from ALL of our politicians… republican or democrat.

On a party-line vote, the House Judiciary Committee has just voted to hold Karl Rove in contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena seeking testimony about the politicization of the Justice Department
