KatieYMemberMy check engine light just came on in my 04′ Hyundai Santa Fe. I was wondering if their was a local shop that can check it out for me so I don’t have to drive up to Shoreline and pay an arm and leg ($92 for an hour just to find out what the problem is and $1100 for the 60,000 service)

JenVMemberwhat flowerpetal said. Dere Auto (937-6994) is reputable and honest- they will not rip you off. My BF’s check engine light came on last week and it turned out to just be a sensor that went bad. I think he paid $80 or so to get it replaced.

ZenguyParticipantI have used CAR Complete Auto Repair on 35th and Holden and highly recommend them, honest, reasonable and thorough.

RonMParticipantI’ve had good service from Courtesy Tire on California. They’ve not charged anything when the fix is quick and doesn’t require parts. I’ve bought a set of tires from them, so have established a history with them. I think they are honest and capable.

AdmiralJanewayParticipantI also recommend Harrah’s. An honest operation that does good work.
I had my check engine light come on last year. It turned out that my gas cap was not tightened properly. I wish all my car problems were that simple!

Synergy3kMemberMy sister and I had a good experience at Tom’s Automotive. I’m not sure how they compare price wise, but she needed some pretty major repairs. They were great about calling and explaining everything before doing the work, and the office staff was very helpful. Good luck!

thriftwaygirlParticipantI know it’s not in local or in West Seattle, but my mechanic is the best! (I have a Hyudai as well.)
