    Nordstrom Virtual Office (www.nordstromvirtualoffice.com) provides accounting services remotely for small- to medium-sized companies around the world. The Accounts Payable Specialist performs daily and month-end accounts payable functions for NVO clients, assists other NVO staff in preparing financial reports and performs various other financial and accounting projects.

    Primary Responsibilities:

     Enter accounts payable invoices for clients of NVO

     Prepare weekly and semi-monthly Bills to Pay reports for clients’ check runs

     Reconcile bank accounts

     Set up approved new vendors and maintain existing vendors for clients

     Assist in preparation of financial statement reconciliations

     Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

     Pay clients’ bills on a timely basis

     Send annual 1099 forms for clients

     Other duties and special projects as assigned

    Required Qualifications:

    • Working on accounting degree or accounts payable experience

    • Good written and verbal communication skills

    • Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment while working remotely

    • Experience with software (currently Excel, QuickBooks a plus, Word)

    • Able to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

    • Responsible, disciplined, good organizational skills, analytical, high integrity, and attention to detail
