Been looking everywhere and can’t find one that someone replies to their posting but my child really needs the next size up. Hopefully someone is looking to free up some garage space? Can pick up immediately. Thanks all!
I would be concerned about a business that only accepts cash. They may be avoiding taxes
or only reporting a portion of sales. Like a place I wont name in the West seattle Junction who was not reporting some cash sales a few years back.

I just posted something about Ephesus before realizing you had posted this. Have you been to the restaurant since the new chef arrived? I wonder how it is although I can’t imagine anything being as good as the old restaurant.
I just noticed that my absolute favorite restaurant, Ephesus, is open again, but it looks like there is a new chef and a new menu. I am heartbroken. They had the best bruschetta in the world! In fact, everything I ever had there was delicious. Has anyone been there since the reopening and what is it like?
Like I said…. If they took your money then they would have to take money from everyone and that would defeat the purpose of not accepting cash. Trust me… You are not special CarDriver.
I have a 15’x 10.5’ room for rent near Roxbury and 21st Ave . The room is in the lower basement and has a private entrance and private 3/4 bathroom with shared kitchen and living area upstairs. The house has a fenced front and back yard with enclosed parking. Includes communal gardening space. House location is convenient for commuting even with west Seattle bridge closed. The room is unfurnished and is available September 1st. Rent is $900 plus utilities. Utilities run $150-200. We will need to sign a 6 or 12 month lease with the landlord and a $900 deposit is due upon moving in.
A little bit about myself, I am 35 year old Sagittarius, full time engineer. I work the majority of the time from home with a couple days in office weekly. I enjoy the outdoors and being active. I love collecting rocks and exploring in my van. I standup paddle board, skateboard, slack line, snowboard, bike, and enjoy riding my motorcycle. I am all for wearing a mask and practicing social distancing to help fight COVID.
I am looking for a girl/guy who is clean, career oriented roommate and motivated but still knows how to relax and chill. I am looking for someone who shares similar interests. I also want someone who is protecting themselves against COVID through mask wearing and reducing exposure to others. Message me if interested.
We are a West Seattle family searching for an experienced and reliable nanny for our 2 children, ages 6 and 9, with responsibilities including overseeing online school, assisting with any homework and finding fun offline activities for the kids after the official school hours have ended. Some transportation to and from sports activities will also be required.
The role will be approximately 40 hours a week with some variation to the exact hours per day based on sports activities and our work schedules.
We have been careful about our interactions with others during COVID and would like to have a nanny with a similar mindset.
Schedule: ~7:30am-5:00pm
Days: M-F
Kids: 6 & 9
Location: Seaview
Pay: $23/hour
Background check: Required
Paid Holidays: 2 weeks vacation + major holidays
We are scheduling FaceTime/Zoom interviews for qualified candidates and look forward to hearing from you!

Maybe True Value only accepts cards because it helps cut down on the contact with the many customers the employees deal with every day, also if they took your coins cardriver then they would have to accept coins from every other person which would defeat the whole purpose of not
accepting cash.

As we got more medical fact’s it’s clear to me that handling cash does not give you covid. My “rant” is that the(very few) businesses that stopped taking cash didn’t resume accepting cash when it was clear that it wasn’t an issue. Note:i’m happy to see any fact’s pertaining to employees or customers getting covid from a cash transaction. Employee and customer safety. This should be front of mind of every business from the 1st day they opened for business. Not just “discovered” when the pandemic hit. Do any of you believe that once we have a vaccine businesses will continue with their cleaning regimines?? It would be nice but I bet they won’t continue. Final note:i do have, and use credit cards. I just want the ability to use them when I want to.
OldLady, is your other name CarDriver?
Using a card for .50 cents, the card processing fee’s are more then the item.. True Value would have saved some money by just giving it away…
ALL businesses should ALWAY’s protect their employees and customers. As we’ve learned more from MEDICAL expert’s cash is not being called out as a safety issue. That is the crux of my “rant”I don’t believe paying with cash is the difference between safe or sick people. Now,if any business want to change the way they do business and be card only here on out I FULLY SUPPORT THEM. That is their right. But if they think by going cashless it will keep employees and customers free from covid(or any other virus) i’d love to see the science. My LAST question. Once we have a vaccine how many businesses will continue with what they’re doing now and how many will go back to the “good old day’s” and not continue with the covid protocals??. PEACE OUT
True Value is not a yard sale. They’re an actual business with a responsibility to protect their employees. Wearing gloves does not provide the same level of protection as not handling cash in the first place. They’re not going to change gloves after each transaction. Why is it “silly” to use a card for a 50 cent purchase? If the merchant is willing to take the card, it should be no extra trouble for you. Isn’t it easier than fumbling for correct change, or carrying a purse full of quarters around?
Is this really worth the heat over a WASHER or is this trying to make a point? I won’t fault anybody trying to protect their workers & customers in a pandemic. Maybe you/we have gotten numb over the fact that we’re still fighting the spread of this crippling virus. I appreciate the frontline retail & customer service people as they face an unknown with every transaction. Cleaning keypads? I agree. Requiring cash transactions? I disagree. Personally, I think twice before headed out the door to safely shop or consolidate my trips. I wouldn’t blow a gasket over a washer.
We are seeking a flexible, super patient, and loving nanny! Kids are 4 & 8 and we are looking for 35 hours a week care M-F from 8am-3pm. Aside from being flexible, super patient, and loving, we would love someone who is able to prepare snacks/meals, and tidy up. 8 year old is enrolled in SPS. We strive to be as responsible about Covid as possible, and would like to match with a caregiver who is similar. We are 6 blocks from the heart of the Alaska Junction. You do not have to have a ton of experience- just have a kind heart and want to work. We really prefer candidates who live close by, and are Covid careful.
Schedule: 8am-3pm
Days: M-F
Kids: 4 & 8
Location: Alaska Junction
Pay: $20/hour
Background check: Required
Paid Holidays: 9/7, 11/26, 11/27, 12/21-25, 1/1, 1/18 (labor day, thanksgiving th-f, December holiday-1 week, new years, and MLK)
Please email me at: legosandunicornsandpokemon@gmail.com
Thank you!
Maybe because it just seems silly to make a CC or Debit transaction for 50 cents when the clerk can put gloves on to take the 2 quarters. They should be wearing gloves anyways with everything they touch that everyone else touches.

They don’t want your filthy quarters. They already told you why. Don’t be lazy, educate yourself.
Kbear. I do shop there and I’ve used my card there. My rant is that I was buying a 50CENT item and they refused to accept 2 quarters…Really(I didn’t need change). And i’m ready to be educated about cash. Anybody have a link to a story about someone becoming sick and or hospitalized because they touched cash or coin in a transaction????? And could someone tell me why they(T V) refuse to take cash. I did, and got a “because of covid” response. I asked if someone in the store had gotten it from money and just got a blank stare.

Well, you got lucky they cleaned it. There are germs everywhere, not just on cash. I’ve never been, nor have I ever heard of someone requiring medical attention from handling cash. Also, no worries of card info being stolen. And, final funny story. Sister and brother in law were in Memphis last year. They went out for dinner and when leaving tried to pay by card. There was a problem with the system. The restaurant would not let them, or anyone else leave until they’d paid-with cash.
Actually, I’ve only encountered 1 other business that’s card only. Everywhere else I shop is fine taking cash. But what has the virus got to do with this? Haven’t heard any statements from state, county, city health experts that touching money spreads the virus Would think they would say something if it did. And I would be fine not using if it was bad. Also, must note that machines aren’t perfect. I’ve had machines not work when I was going to pay with a card. So what’s T V going to do if the system is down? Are they going to lock there door’s and not let anybody in until their card reader is working?
Multi family yard sale this Saturday 9/29.
9am to 4pm
No children specific items, if that is what you are looking for.
Please wear a mask. Hand sanitizer will be available.
12th, between Trenton and Cloverdale. Exact address will be published on Friday.
