Work Location: On the roadHi neighbors,
There is an injured seagull at the boat ramp near Cormorant Cove. The bird has an injured wing and cannot fly and is currently hiding around the boat ramp and surrounding rocks.
I have already spoken with PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Snohomish, and they will accept the bird, but they are unable to retrieve it. They recommended posting locally to see if someone is able to safely capture and transport the bird to PAWS.
I am unfortunately out of town until Sunday and will take the bird myself then if needed, but I’m concerned it may not survive that long without help.
If you have experience handling birds or are willing to help transport, please reply here as soon as possible. I can share exact location details if needed. The bird has stayed near the boat ramp, surrounding trees, and rocks for shelter.
Thank you so much for any help — truly appreciated
Hi neighbors! I was on Vashon this past weekend and left a beloved Miir water bottle at a business on the main street. Are there any regular commuters out there who wouldn’t mind swinging by to pick it up? I can meet anywhere in West Seattle to retrieve. Thanks so much!

Hello neighbors! A bright red mountain bike was stolen from our garage this morning between approximately 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM.
If you live on or near 30th Ave SW and have any video or photo footage from that time frame, could you please take a quick look for anyone driving off with a bike or riding/walking a bike? We’re on a steep hill, so the person may have either sped downhill or been walking it uphill.
Any information or footage you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!Just trying to verify that I am following the rules of the road. I have seen people make contradicting comments here in the blog.

Please submit your cover letter (describing your interest in this position and connection to our clinic’s values) and your resume to hello@neighborhood-naturopathic.com.I know every neighborhood has this problem, but this is for the Arbor Heights area. There are a few people that live in this neighborhood that don’t pick up after their dogs. It’s not that they forgot the bag, they are just lazy worthless piles of crap, like what they leave behind.
It’s illegal, it’s a $54 fine and if your dog isn’t licensed and up to date on their shots, then the fine keeps increasing.
If you see somebody purposefully leaving their dog crap in the area and you know where they live you can report them to Animal Control. Take a picture and report their address or license plate. Sick of selfish worthless people and personally cleaning up after your dogs because you are too lazy to do so. You don’t deserve a pet. . .Topic: Looking for a Carpenter

Control your dogs! I was attacked by a “nice dog” yesterday. The nice dog bit through my pants and a knee brace leaving me with deep puncture wounds and a huge bruise. There was no warning that this nice dog was going to bite despite the owner telling me (afterwards) that the nice dog has a history of bitting people near doorways. I was leaving my building and moved aside to let the owner and the dog in. That’s when I got bit. Holding the door to let this neighbor and his dogs in. Again, no warning that this dog is scared of doorways and will bite people in doorways. I would have happily backed away had I known.

Topic: Please don’t block alleys
Over the past few years, I often see people park in the middle of the alley or not far enough over to allow through traffic. In case you didn’t know, this is illegal. It’s also not very neighborly. Please don’t do this. It’s inconvenient for the driver and there can be violations/dangers in backing up. There also isn’t always a way to turn around in the alley so you can leave “nose” out.
For those who think I should call parking enforcement, that’s not really an option due to hold times and the parking enforcement being perpetually understaffed.
Rather than trying to get people a ticket and a tow, I thought I could reach more people proactively through WSB.
The Seattle Municipal Code is below. Thank you.
11.72.020 – Alley.
No person shall stand or park a vehicle except a commercial vehicle, a vehicle displaying a valid commercial loading permit, or authorized emergency vehicle in an alley.(Ord. 114518 § 5, 1989: Ord. 114251 § 5, 1988: Ord. 108200, § 2(11.72.020), 1979.)
11.72.025 – Alley—Driveway.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within an alley in such a position as to block the driveway entrance to any abutting property. (RCW 46.90.433(2))Topic: Lost Keys + Drawstring Bag
On the night of the 9th i lost a set of keys and a green drawstring bags while riding the H Line South from Andover street.
Metro has been contacted with no success (for all you know-betters.)
The green bag held some loose pages and drawing materials, a sketchbook, and a set of keys.
The set of keys has a vehicle key and a yellow “FIFA 2025” lanyard, as well as an easily identifiable resin keychain charm.
Please notify me if either is found.
