I think you’ve gotten a lot of good info already. As for the safety concern – historically Delridge was a blue collar neighborhood and a bit rough. In the past 10 years it has changed quite a bit.

I’d recommend visiting the Delridge Library, or Pearl’s Coffee shop at Edmunds St and Delridge Way for a few minutes to get a feel for the folks of the neighborhood as well as spending about a half hour at any of the many parks.

I’ve lived in N. Delridge for almost 5 years. The only real complaint I have living in a town house on Delridge Way is the noise.

Cons: trash as in litter, or someone dumping their trash in your can. The quarterly adopt a street clean ups help with litter, but it’s a problem in this neighborhood on some streets, but not all. We’re not that far from the SW Police station, so there are sirens at any hour. Not bad, but something notable if you’re not used to it.

Pros: Walk ability to the Library and many park “gems” – so many cool trails along Longfellow Creek. And, an easy bus commute to Downtown. A diverse mix of residents both renters and home owners, you’ll see a Lexus parked behind an old Toyota on Delridge Way. The Neighborhood Council is active (meets on Second Mondays at 6:30pm at the Library), and is pretty low key.

Happy looking!
