“that’s the story that we ar being sold..”
I’m sorry if someone is selling you a story.
I have not been sold anything. I am well aware of what Corporate America makes and pretty much how they make it. I am also aware that when jobs were beginning to be outsourced overseas and the cry from the Unions went up, companies like Wal-Mart reaped the benefit from outsourcing (cheap products flooding the market) by seeing their profits increased tenfold. Profits are generated by purchase. If it wasn’t Americans buying the cheap imported products, who was it? Peruvian Ninjas? No and it sure wasn’t only the poor and disadvantaged.
As for blaming American workers? Job, I am an American worker and I have been one for 38 years. I don’t need to ask myself anything when it comes to how American workers are being compensated; I have seen it in my paychecks. My early education about equity was received while spending most of my youth growing up in the Projects and watching my Dad work two jobs to make ends meet. Let’s not talk about how poor people have to spend their money.
My point is, “Don’t just blame the fox if you forgot to close the gate.”
