— Three games. 270 minutes. 9 points on the line. This is all that’s left in West Seattle
Junction FC’s inaugural USL League Two season. From first becoming a club at the start of the year, to now
fighting for a post-season playoff spot, it’s been a whirlwind of a season for the Boys in West Seattle Blue.

Junction FC has quickly become one of the standout teams in the NW Division of the Western Conference,
proving week in and week out that despite being one of the new kids on the block, they are able to compete with
the best of the best. Some of the best players in the country, all brought together by Head Coach Erik Oman,
have given the soccer community of West Seattle something to take pride in, and it’s clear they have no
intentions of seeing their season end anytime soon.

Junction FC’s next match against FC Olympia on Sunday, July 7th will mark the first of three home matches to
close out their inaugural season. Having drawn 1-1 in their previous meeting this season, picking up three points
will be crucial for Junction FC in their hopes of earning one of the two available playoff spots. Junction FC are
heading into Sunday’s matchup with three wins, one draw, and one loss in their last five games. FC Olympia on
the other hand currently sit four points behind Junction FC in the table, with a win for Junction meaning they
could jump up to second place if other results across the division go their way. “This really is the home stretch of
our season now,” said Head Coach Oman following their recent loss against United PDX. “Losing Jake
[Larson] early in the game was difficult, and we’re hoping he’ll be back in time for these last few games. We have
other regular starters who are back with us this week, which is a huge boost for us. We’re beyond proud of the
guys with what they’ve achieved thus far, but we all know that the job is not done.”

Sunday’s matchup will kickoff at 2:00 pm at Nino Cantu Southwest Athletic Complex. Tickets starting at just
$10 can be purchased online, with this being an excellent way to cap off the holiday weekend. Additionally,
there will be lots of ways to stay cool and enjoy great food and drink while enjoying the game at Junction FC’s
covered stadium. Fans will be able to take their pick from Fit Bar Smoothies, Seattle Pops, and Falafel Salem,
who will all be in attendance on Sunday.
