Something whimsical is about to pop up around West Seattle. You just might stumble across it.
Potterings is once again joining the global art phenomenon Game of Shrooms with a playful, community-powered twist. 25 one-of-a-kind ceramic mushrooms, handcrafted by Potterings co-op members, will be hidden throughout the neighborhood and waiting to be discovered and taken home.
Part treasure hunt, part art drop, and all about joy, Game of Shrooms invites artists around the world to hide mushroom-themed creations in public places, then share clues online for adventurous finders. No tickets, no cost. Just curiosity and a little luck.
“We love the idea of art surprising people in their everyday lives,” said the Potterings team. “These mushrooms are made with care, personality, and a bit of mischief. Finding one should feel like a tiny moment of magic.”
How to Play
Follow Potterings on social media for clue drops starting on Saturday, June 13
Clues will be dropped at 8AM, 11AM and 1PM

Keep your eyes peeled. These mushrooms could be anywhere
If you find one, it is yours to keep, tag Potterings with your find and be sure to email us when you find your ‘fun’gus treasure
Please take only one so more people can join the fun. This is more than hiding art. It is about sharing it. Each mushroom represents a different artist from the Potterings co-op, turning the streets, parks, and corners of West Seattle into a living gallery for a day.
It is a reminder that art does not have to live on a shelf or behind glass. Sometimes, it is tucked behind a tree, waiting to be found.
