West Seattle, Washington
04 Monday
6:00 AM: Good morning! Welcome to Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
WEATHER + SUNRISE/SUNSET
Mostly sunshine in the forecast for today, high in the low 50s. Sunrise at 7:22 am; sunset at 5:25 pm.
TRANSIT TODAY
West Seattle Water Taxi – Regular West Seattle service, fall/winter schedule.
Washington State Ferries – Per WSF’s alert page, it’s the two-boat schedule again today with the third unscheduled “bonus boat.”
Metro buses – Regular weekday schedule and routes today.
SUPER BOWL PARADE DAY TOMORROW
*Here’s the Seahawks‘ infopage about the 11 am Wednesday parade – including the route map – northbound on 4th Avenue from Washington to Cedar.
*Here’s the transit infopage. From West Seattle, the Water Taxi will add service as needed – rather than publishing a special schedule, spokesperson Al Sanders told us, the “plan is to operate similar to a RapidRide route, when all the people on the dock are onboard, the vessel will leave, drop passengers off and return. The goal is to have people not waiting longer than the normal vessel departure time. For quicker boarding, Riders are encouraged to have their fare payment handy, details are online.”
*What if you’re just trying to get downtown? The city says “streets that intersect with 4th Avenue (will) be closed between Lumen Field and the Seattle Center, with congestion along surrounding side streets. Vehicles exiting I-90 onto 4th Avenue will be directed to 4th Avenue in the southbound direction. I-5 and I-90 on and offramps will be held briefly at the start of the parade but will open shortly after.”
(Again, this is for TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 11, NOT today.)

Thanks to the texter who sent that photo, confirming a dispatch we heard a few minutes ago for a reported flipped-car crash on Beach Drive at Canada [map]. No serious injuries reported, and nobody trapped – that’s why this wasn’t a “rescue extrication” callout as many flipped-car crashes are.
10:04 PM: SDOT and SPD are closing the eastbound entrance to the West Seattle Bridge from Fauntleroy for another barrier reset. A crash on the westbound side was reported around 7:30; we don’t know exactly where – we even drove onto the bridge to look but didn’t see it. Nonetheless, barriers were pushed out of place somewhere, and this closure will last until they’re fixed.
10:24 PM: Eastbound traffic is entering the bridge again.
6:00 AM: Good morning! Welcome to Friday, February 6, 2026.

12:35 PM: Police have just told dispatch that they’re closing the entire 16th/Roxbury intersection because of a two-car crash, so avoid that area for a while. We’re headed over to check, as the area traffic camera does not show the closure.
12:48 PM: Adding photos. Our crew confirms the crash is actually at 17th/Roxbury, which is blocked, but they’re working to get it at least partly reopened.

8:11 PM: This was supposed to be fairly quick but for some reason it’s taking crews a while to reposition a barrier near the Fauntleroy end of the eastbound West Seattle Bridge, and dozens of drivers are stuck waiting. If you have to head eastbound, get on the bridge another way.
8:15 PM: The dispatcher just told SPD that SDOT needs “traffic control” for another barrier fix closer to the bridge entrance at 35th; an officer replied, “Just as soon as this one gets figured out.” So avoid 35th/Fauntleroy entirely for a while.
8:19 PM: The live camera just east of 35th shows SDOT now blocking the inside eastbound lane but the others have reopened.
8:30 PM: Now they’re blocking all eastbound lanes again just past the Fauntleroy entrance, per police radio.
9:27 PM: Still blocked, per live view on traffic cameras.
10:34 PM: We’ve been checking the live feed every few minutes; it’s just reopened.
5:55 PM: If you’re headed this way from points north, avoid southbound Highway 99 – a crash is blocking the ramp to the westbound West Seattle Bridge. No other details yet.
6:29 PM: Officers have just told dispatch that the ramp has reopened.
6:03 AM: Good morning! Welcome to Friday, January 30, 2026.
