T-shirts to show your WS pride

If you’ve been looking for more ways to show your love for, devotion to, crazy-mad-nuts-aboutness regarding, West Seattle … check out the WS Art Dive next to Hotwire this weekend. Right at the gate, we found artist Jason Olcott selling two types of T-shirts that might meet your need … one is black, fists on the front with WEST SIDE across the knuckles, WEST SEATTLE on the back; the other is pink, inscribed in script, WEST SEATTLE GIRL. 20 bucks. Those are only two of the catchy creations we browsed at the Art Dive; participating artists are there, basking in the sun, awaiting your visit, till 5 today, 10-5 tomorrow.

I saw one at the street fair this summer. “West Seattle We Have More Cowbell” It also had a local artist’s work on the front – which wasn’t particularly attractive in my opinion. I’d love to rip it off and make my own that say “West Seattle” on the front and “We Have More Cowbell” on the back.

Slight tangent: anyone know where to get the “white Center: Not So White, Not So Center” bumper sticker or tshirt? My partner has wanted it for quite some time.

We would suggest trying the White Center Community Development Association — since the slogan is cited on their site.

I always thought it was “White Center – not so white and a little off-center”. I kinda like that one better!

“Not So White – Not So Centered” I believe. Have also seen “I (heart) Rat City”

Forget the name of it, but there’s a graphics shop on 16th Ave. in Rat City which makes T-Shirts, A-boards and signs – it’s on the block, I believe, where Brewskie’s is located and same side. They have these and other White Center T-shirts – not so much for the rest of WS, though.

Love the cowbell t-shirt! But does anyone know where to get the “Walk all ways with Walk” t-shirt? Saw someone wearing one in the Junction few weeks ago…

Jason (from the Art Dive) is a bartender at West 5 – and if you missed picking up a shirt this past weekend (or at SummerFest) you can probably find out how to get your hands on one down at West 5. Great Shirts – show your West Seattle pride!!!
