Death investigation on Alki

A texter asked about police and the Medical Examiner on Alki early this morning; we just went over to check and were told it’s a suicide investigation. The SFD log says the call originated as a “scenes of violence” (formerly “assault with weapons”) dispatch to 55th SW/Alki SW at 5 am. When we arrived, the ME had left; the last police on scene had no other details and were about to leave.

LGBTQ can call the Trevor Lifeline at 866-488-7386 24/7 or text them Monday through Friday noon to 7pm at 1-202-304-1200. CVAB operates a Warmline (not a crisis line) daily from 4pm to midnight if you just need to talk. It is staffed by peers who are themselves in recovery, so they have personal lived experience.

Two friends and I went to go see what the big response was for. We witnessed a the dead woman, she was still in her car, in the driver’s seat of her Prius. RIP.

    Was this the homeless lady who always parked on Beach Drive near the outdoor toilet?? I met her a few times….She had something on the back of her car….If this is her I feel very sad about this!!
