Update: Missing 73-year-old man found

6:45 PM UPDATE: The missing man’s son says he’s been found.

EARLIER: Just out of the WSB inbox (update: photo added):

My father, John Knapp, Sr., has not been heard from since around noon today when he left an appointment at Westside Dermatology at the Junction. He is 73 and has a serious heart condition, so is wearing a defibrillator vest. He is 5’11”, white, 212 pounds, and has short gray hair. He was driving a beige 1999 Toyota Corolla with Washington plate number 792-VXC. I have put a report into 911 and SPD was to send an officer, but it has been an hour. He lives on Genesee Hill so he cannot be far from home.

Please call 911 if you think you have seen him.

It’s too bad SPD doesn’t have some way of giving people status updates on when an officer will contact them. Good on the son for reporting his father missing ASAP.

I’m glad he was found and that he is well. I can’t imagine what it would be like if a close family member gets lost.

Sorry, comment time is over.
