We mention youth-sports leagues often – but sports aren’t just for kids, and here’s a reminder: Three leagues at local community centers, with signups under way – read on for the details:

ADULT KICKBALL LEAGUE

This 8-week recreational league is played at the DELRIDGE MEADOWS, just west of the skateboard park, off Genesee SW. This old-school, fun filled game is still the same. The game is played with a rubber ball and 10 players (8 min), four of which must be female. Winning team receives medals. Game times are at 6:30, 7 pm and 7:30 pm.

ADULT DODGEBALL

Lace up your tennis shoes, old-school dodgeball is back. This 8-week recreation-level league is for players who are looking to enjoy competitive dodge ball without an intimidating atmosphere. The league consists of two women minimum and four men maximum. The game is played with rubber dodge balls on an indoor court. Teams will play 2 – 20 min matches per night. Players will enjoy eight weeks of play in a fun and controlled environment at our spacious indoor facilities. Game times are at 6:30 pm, 7 pm, 7:30 pm and 8 pm at Delridge Community Center located at 4501 Delridge Way SW.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

This 8-week recreation-level league is for women players who are looking to enjoy volleyball in a competitive, yet friendly environment. Championship team receives T-shirts and bragging rights! Games are played with 6 women, in our spacious indoor facilities. Games vary from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at High Point Community Center, 6920 34th Ave SW Seattle.
