West Seattle businesses: Reopening day for Fleurt in The Junction

As of this morning, less than three weeks after announcing her move, Sam Crowley has reopened her flower shop Fleurt (WSB sponsor) in its bigger new location, 4536 California SW (the former storefront of Knows Perfume). Right after she threw open the doors at 10:30 am, we stopped by for a look inside. She’s open till 5:30 pm today, if you want to take a peek; Sam also invites you to an open house one week from tomorrow, April 21st, “We are planning to have an open house Saturday April 21st – “in celebration of our 2-year anniversary, Earth Day, and new location.”

Congrats! I’ll be in to check it out this weekend. WSB, have you heard what might move into Fleurt’s old location or is it just vacant for now?

      Haven’t heard anything yet.

I kinda feel bad that the re-opening of this great shop seems to be overlooked (at least by commenters) for Trader Joe’s-palooza.

What a beautiful store! I hope all the locals who always say they want small, local, independent retailers will actually buy things there… rather than at big chain stores. :-)

According to ws blog Many Moons Trading is going into Fleurts old space. Both are great WS businesses,

Anne, that wasn’t us, unless you mean someone mentioned it in the Forum? I just searched Google and can’t find any mention of that anywhere, on our site or anyplace else. But Many Moons’ website DOES say “beautiful new location” so I would imagine you’re right. We’ll see what we can find out.

From the West Seattle Junction Association’s email newsletter:

“Fleurt will create an opening where Many Moons Trading Company will move. Many Moons has been in the same building as Jan’s Beauty Supply for 15 years. Upstairs from Jan’s, The Junction is pleased to welcome In Tandem Midwifery and Fitness Revolution.”

Hate to get credit where not due, though I swear I read that newsletter and must have glazed right past the Many Moons mention. Thanks. Now of course the question then rolls down the slope to “who will move into Many Moons’ spot …” – TR
