Traffic alert: End of westbound West Seattle Bridge closed by crash

If you’re heading toward West Seattle soon – or know someone who is – note that a crash has led police to close off the West Seattle Bridge, westbound, near the Fauntleroy end – traffic is being diverted off at the Admiral exit. No details so far on how serious the crash is.

Just drove by this scene and there was no visible damage, and it didn’t even look like a wreck. One car was at an angle blocking both lanes.

Probably could have moved over to the side and let people through until the cops got there instead of blocking the whole road.

We were diverted up Admiral when we came home from the game. There were tow trucks taking a couple of cars away, but the worst thing was the crazy drivers who were making u-turns across Admiral right after the bridge!! If they would have been paying attention they could have gotten off at Harbor Avenue and gone up Avalon.. You could see it was closed off halfway across the bridge.

U-turn on Admiral? Brilliant move. We can’t get enough SPD around here to ticket these fools driving like nut jobs. Want to resolve our budget issues, start handing out traffic infractions like candy.

And the same morons will be out in force next time it snows! Not that it ever snows on WS…

Sorry, comment time is over.
