We got late word that the West Seattle High School Swim Team’s having a fundraising car wash right now – till 4 this afternoon – if you drive toward the school on California, you’ll see signs like the one in our quick pic above. Sure, it’s cloudy, but you have to get the car washed SOMETIME …

While I am not one to typically anally pick-apart the good-doings of local youth, if I was to make a suggestion to the WSHS swim team, do not have someone dressed like THAT out in front advertising the car wash. I might be old school, but the baggy shirt, backwards cap and over sized shirt just don’t lead many to feel and immediate sense of trust. Just my thoughts, right or wrong.

FWIW, a little context – I bumped into a couple of the young women who were also working to get the car wash going about 15 minutes earlier (they weren’t set up yet or else I would have had a closer picture, while leaving the neighboring Blessing of the Animals) and they were a little short on help. Maybe he was drafted. Or else – if he was going to take a turn with the washing apparatus – you certainly aren’t going to dress to the nines for that. Just a thought – thanks for offering yours – TR
